Had such a fun crazy day today shooting an editorial for the April issue of GLAMOUR SA. Trust me this is one issue you want to get your fashion hands on, the styling was just impeccable :D. Sometime in March I will upload the behind the scenes video

I was so chuffed when Duha Ali followed me on twitter and how fond she was of my quirky style. I later discovered that we both shared the same passion for vintage. She would often take photographs of Vintage items she thought I might like.

If you consider yourself a stylista, this book is a must read. It combines the basic elements of fashion design, wardrobe design, accentuating and forming and informing your own personal style.

For the fourth year running, South Africa’s top value fashion retailer, Mr Price, joins ELLE in a search for the hottest local design talent. For all the details on how to enter, see page 88 of ELLE's June issue.

HOW TO ENTER:

- Design a womenswear collection of eight complete outfits for winter 2011/2012 that meets this year’s brief: Show Us Your Pattern.

- The collection must be submitted in storyboard format and should be no bigger than A3.

- Fabric swatches and technical drawings must accompany your entry.

- A short biography and a brief motivation or inspiration for your range (no more than 100 words) must be attached to your entry.

- Your entry must include your name, age, address, daytime contact number and fax or email address.

- Entries should be delivered to ELLE, 1st Floor, 37 Bath Avenue, Rosebank, Jo’burg; or posted to ELLE, PO Box 1741, Saxonwold, 2132, and marked for attention: Philile Mathebula.

- Storyboards will not be returned.

- The closing date for entries is 22 June 2011 and finalists will be notified telephonically by 1 July 2011.

I was chuffed when Lulu Ndevu of Estee Lauder invited me to try out their Double Wear Foundation for South African skin. I was never a makeup girl (love my red lipstick though) but after the foundation fitting i was completely sold.
Like Peter Griffin (Family Guy) once said "men dont date clowns, so ladies please remove that one layer of makeup" hahaha i have to agree i absolutely hate looking cakey or like clayman :( fortunately, EL's double wear foundation feels light and it's smudge free.

Hello World,how you doing?I'm doing great kinda like I won a million" one of the lyrics from a song of mine,My name is Farai Makoni and I'm Zimbabwean but live in Johannesburg. I rap,I write,I dance,I love fashion,I love film,I live. I've always had an outlandish style that gradually progressed into something more extraterrestrial,different.

How would you describe your style?
I'd describe my style as "indescribable" really,I wear what I like, mostly vintage clothes. A staple "clothing diet" of mine would be,denim and leather...I've got a mean suede shoe collection.

Your Style icons?My style icons are Alice Delal,Agynus deyn and Madonna during her "papa don't preach" days

Where do you shop for clothes?I shop in very few shops and I stay loyal to them,I love Urban Outfitters,Top Shop, the online store "ASOS",Rozanne and Pushkin ( a shop here in JHB) and The Lot (in Cape Town).

Your Future plans?
I'm an aspiring musician I sing,mostly rap and write my own music. I hope to release a mixtape this year and direct a movie I've been writing in the near future. I'm gonna reach new heights,whoever told you "The Sky is The Limit" told a lie. Limits don't exist

ELLE will continue with its current talent search campaigns next year and has announced that the magazine will be introducing the ELLE New Talent Hair Stylist Search, a new addition to makeup artist search, designer search, new fresh face and photographer.
